Very fragile. for DVD players and recorders
I never realized how weak modern DVD players are. This device is so light that you have to hold it while you press one of the buttons on the front or it will slip off you. The remote control is so tiny that it's very difficult to see what the buttons are doing. The pressure on the remote is such that it doesn't look like it will last very long. The warranty is a bit low as parts are covered by a one-year warranty, but labor is only 90 days (and you have to pay shipping to get it there). In my opinion this player is suitable for use in a guest room where there will be minimal use, but as a main DVD player hooked up to a family TV it is totally unsuitable.
