This was purchased to keep my phone upright on my desk with the charger attached. It slides over the workstation bar and securely holds my phone upright and clearly visible. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ in an external battery case (like the Mophie case). The phone in the case is not exactly 0.75 inch thick and heavier than a regular phone/case. This holder is fully rotatable and securely holds my phone in place. I am very pleased!
