ViewSonic Elite XG270Q 27 inch 1440p 1ms 165Hz Gaming Monitor The product arrived on time. After years of using TN panels on this monitor, everything immediately catches the eye. It's been less than a week and no problems so far. It makes the games I play look great and I can only expect things to get better when I replace my old Evga 750ti GPU when prices go back to normal pricing and availability. I had an issue that started about 24 hours after I first plugged it in. The monitor either wouldn't turn on until Windows 10 or the computer hung on boot. When it crashed on boot I had to connect it to the integrated graphics to be able to get back to Windows. After some searching, I found that my GPU was one of many models that had issues with DP 1.3 and 1.4, but were fixed with a firmware update from Nvidia. I never knew this as I've only used the DVI connector so far. This item has 3 disadvantages. First, it's the RGB lighting. Every time the monitor is turned off, the RGB settings are reset to the default settings. This happens when you install through the OSD menu or Viewsonic software. If there is a way to permanently set it, then I haven't found it yet. Second, it also had to come with an HDMI cable. Third, the included data port cable was only DP 1.2 while the monitor supports DP 1.4. I would reflect this in the ratings by deducting at least one star if I had bought it from Viewsonic or maybe even Revain as they are big enough to affect quality changes. But this was purchased from a third party and so far they have done a good job. A downgrade would only harm them and not have the intended effect. There should actually be a separate rating for product and provider.
