I always have one of these in the car, the other one was in the dashboard, somehow the plug broke and I replaced it, but then cigarette lighter I plugged in earlier stuck in the block, the new plug didn't have a good fuse and I welded the can but my other two problems haven't lasted more than a year and I love having them - I've never had anything other than the cigarette lighter gps and sometimes connected the CP, but for that it works well, but the device itself is great. they are light. I've used a screen protector and strapped mine over the plastic holder I use in the truck and screwed it on and it never moves or bounces, but I've seen some people use velcro, although I think velcro usually has some downsides has in a hot car if it comes supported - but you can use it or maybe install it with a hot glue gun - no no mounts which is a plus but the unit is solid -
