Review on 🆒 Whynter Eco-Friendly ARC-110WD Portable Air Conditioner - 11,000 BTU Dual Hose for Maximum Efficiency in Multi-purpose Use by Lori Chantland

I bought this portable air conditioner a little over a year ago and I am generally happy with its performance. There are a few things I don't like about him, but I might not notice them in his work. The main issue I have with this unit is draining water from the unit. I live in Mississippi, it's hot and humid here and this plant produces a lot of water. The first summer I used it I didn't have to drain it at all. However, this summer is wetter and hotter than last year, so I had to install a drain line for the unit to keep it from dripping. The design of the drain plugs is not ideal. There is a small drain at the bottom and a large one at the top. You should design it so that all the water comes out of one spout, not two different outlets. After speaking to Winter customer service I purchased the hose as recommended by CSR. I also bought a 3/8 inch bent brass dishwasher drain fitting just because it looked useful. It has a screw cap similar to a garden hose. It fits perfectly with the drain above. I then attached clear vinyl tubing to the brass drain squeezer and the water flows freely out of the unit. Since I had this setup the unit has never stopped working due to a drain issue (see photos). This unit can produce several liters of waste water per day depending on the humidity, so it is important that it can drain. The block is a carbon impregnated sponge foam odor filter that is an optional replacement part. The only replacement option Winter recommends is with a company that charges almost $19 for a filter, with no shipping. That seems excessive to me, so as long as I have an odor problem I will just use the built in filter and nothing else. Finally, this device works hard during the intense heat of the day. It blows cool, even cold air, but if you try to cool too much room it won't cool it because it just can't. My room is large, probably around 550-600 square feet, so staying in the unit is recommended for optimal cooling. Dishwasher drain - [.][.]
