Okay, I've read that it condenses a lot of water, but before that I've had two other portable air conditioners with no problems. I also use this in an air conditioned house just to cool the bedroom not the whole house so I figured I'd be fine. , 24 inches above the ground and drained both drains into a bucket. I had to dump a 5 gallon bucket of water every other day, by the third night it would definitely overflow. 2 gallons a night, I've only had this thing 8 hours. I plugged the bottom drain…

Air Conditioner Tested and Approved

I am a Licensed Air Conditioner Installer. I bought this unit for Hurricane Irma. It was delivered exactly on time as stated the day before the hurricane. I only used it at night to cool down a 12 x 12 foot bedroom that slept three people. The device was easy to set up and worked flawlessly. The wheels are excellent, you can spin them with your finger. The hoses can be installed in a horizontal or vertical sliding window. I set it to 72 degrees because I wanted to save fuel for the generator…

Works well for cooling the top floor of our apartment

My husband and I needed a portable air conditioner for our computer room as it is upstairs in our apartment and central air conditioning is inefficient at bringing cold air into the room. attic. It would be 5-10 degrees hotter upstairs than in the rest of the apartment. Since our computer room had multiple computers and electronics, it got unbearably hot in the summer months and turning off the AC didn't help (only the bottom floor was colder while the top floor was the same temperature). After

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Nothing here

I bought this portable air conditioner a little over a year ago and I am generally happy with its performance. There are a few things I don't like about him, but I might not notice them in his work. The main issue I have with this unit is draining water from the unit. I live in Mississippi, it's hot and humid here and this plant produces a lot of water. The first summer I used it I didn't have to drain it at all. However, this summer is wetter and hotter than last year, so I had to install a…

Some things you should know first

I bought this unit as a "return" but no problem, from Revain Clearance. A few bucks saved. Or so I thought. Upon delivery, the device had deep scratches and black spots. And no remote! Since I needed this piece of equipment ASAP, it would be a problem to send back a heavy "10 ton" piece of equipment and wait for another. I left the device. There was an error. It was necessary to return immediately and get a regular window block. And here's why: 1. The device needs to be emptied regularly…

Pros

  • Makes me nervous

Used the unit for the first time yesterday by venting the two French door side light panels removed and modifying the brackets supplied to attach to a piece of plywood with holes cut out and on the area from to place The discs removed The situation is a small rented cottage in the eastern suburbs of San Francisco, Contra Costa County, a very sunny location with low humidity. Not as hot as the inner valley (Bakersfield to Sacramento) but just a little bit at times, and yesterday was one of those
