Review on ๐Ÿ†’ Whynter Eco-Friendly ARC-110WD Portable Air Conditioner - 11,000 BTU Dual Hose for Maximum Efficiency in Multi-purpose Use by Samuel Kromah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I also use this in an air conditioned home to cool the bedroom, not the whole house.

Okay, I've read that it condenses a lot of water, but before that I've had two other portable air conditioners with no problems. I also use this in an air conditioned house just to cool the bedroom not the whole house so I figured I'd be fine. , 24 inches above the ground and drained both drains into a bucket. I had to dump a 5 gallon bucket of water every other day, by the third night it would definitely overflow. 2 gallons a night, I've only had this thing 8 hours. I plugged the bottom drain and proceeded to drain the middle drain into the bucket. It worked and no wet carpet. Okay, I need a condensate pump to pump this out somewhere and get this monster back on the ground. I finally got the pump and drained the center drain into the pump. My wife wasn't happy with the 15 foot pipe leading to the tub, but I'm making progress. Okay, so one night my son pulled the pipe out of the tub and flooded the tub through no fault of Winter. Leave it for three or four nights, wet carpet! The pump runs and does not leak. What the hell. Slide the block over the rubber cover to make sure I understand where the water is coming from, it's below. Pulled out the bottom plug and the floor is full of water! I soaked a wet carpet and 10 beach towels.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
