There are many conflicting reviews on this product so I felt it my duty to add my two cents. This kennel has everything you would expect from a $130 product. We considered building our own, but by the time we found out the cost of materials we were already over $150 and would have spent a whole weekend building it. share and it is spacious enough for them. It looks attractive and is strong enough that you can get in and out without breaking. The hinged lid is great and the removable bottom is nice too. I really like that it's elevated off the ground and doesn't get wet in bad weather. Assembly took about an hour and is very easy. They both came in and took a nap, so I think they're okay. It smells good too. Cons: I had to paint it for weatherproofing, but I painted it to match my house so it looks great. The wood is very thin and a bit brittle and I suspect it will take an effort to further insulate it if the puppies are to stay warm in it this winter. The bottom is a flimsy material and I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace it at some point. The hinges holding the top together are junk and I threw them away instead of installing them. The hinges on the back of the roof are pre-installed, but there are those levers that should keep it from opening too far and breaking off. Luckily mine is against the wall of my garage so no brackets are needed. to make sure it doesn't open. So if you are looking for a kennel that is as durable as a human kennel or you have a really big destructive dog I would not buy this product. If you are looking for a budget friendly dog house and are willing to put in some effort to weatherproof and insulate it then this is a great product.
