Review on Ladder Grabber Hook: Ideal Ladder Storage Solution for Organized Garage and Shed Cleaning by Van Masterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple and efficient design; easy installation; Does not rust

Very satisfied with this product. I especially like that it's made of molded plastic, made in the USA, and invented by a vintage car. I hung a 10ft Weber and a 5ft Little Giant Flip-N-Lite. The little giant was tricky as I was only able to hang it on the top orange tray as the ladder trap only protrudes 1-1/2" out of the wall but only catches 3/4" of the ladder (it doesn't catch recessed steps on ). Since the Flip-N-Lite only weighs 12 pounds, I'm not particularly concerned about damaging the orange top tray on this lightweight, but it's not the best way to hang heavier ladders with a plastic top rung (tray). Weber on the CBS wall I used a 1/4" x 3-1/4" hex head, 410 stainless steel anchor. Since I live in a humid environment with salty air, I try to always buy rust-proof or rust-resistant products and install them with stainless steel fasteners. Make sure the step at the top slides into a 3/4 inch slope that will hold the ladder securely to the wall. Otherwise it is either lying on the flat part of the ladder latch, which can be dangerous when pushing, or the ladder is not secured at all (see the penultimate photo on the product page for an explanation). large heavy duty ladders, load capacity is 40lbs as long as they are properly attached to the wall. For me the rule of thumb is a 12ft ladder that weighs 48lbs so I have to choose another alternative or make it out of aluminum profile.
