I am very happy with how this stand locks into place. The padded hooks with locks holding the bikes are great. At first I didn't like how the bar wobbled from side to side. Then I re-tightened the screw holding the post, the one on the lower back side. Now he's much better, less staggering. Also a word of warning, the instructions state that you must screw small triangular shaped clips to the bottom ends of the two arms before attaching the bike mounts to the arms. You can not do it. First put the bike stands on the handlebars THEN screw on the small triangular clips. Another complaint: The company's name is cast on the handle, creating sharp corners and edges where you hold your hand. Not the best design. I'll wrap it with duct tape. Otherwise, the quality is good and the stand makes a solid impression. I like the locking features and also the vertical levers.
