Review on Upgrade Your Baking Game With Ninja'S Premium 5-Piece Bakeware Sheet Set - Oven Safe Up To 500⁰F by Dave Connelly

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This works the best out of any non-stick cake pan I've owned!

I have to admit . I am amazed at how well this works. In the past I have used non-stick pans where, even when greased or buttered, a part of the top of a cake layer or other baked good breaks off when moved out of the pan. I have two very dense cakes I like to make . an Italian apple cake and a Christmas fruitcake using Winston Churchill's recipe. Both are notoriously hard to remove from the pan as the middle needs to be moist and the exterior needs to be browned. Because of this, part of the cake always breaks away when removing it. Not with this pan though!Ninja products have always been practical. While they do kind of have that 'informercial product' vibe, which can promote some skepticism about performance . they end up following through with their claims of a better product. I own a food processor, a blender and a knife set from Ninja. All perform above and beyond expectations . but the rub is that the design isn't always the most usable.Case in point . their knife set is razor sharp and has a 'revolutionary' sharpening system in the block. Everything about the knives is perfect except for the design as the part of the knife which attaches to the blade is sharp and can cause a nasty finger slice during normal use, if not careful. While this cake pan works better than any other I've used from a non-stick perspective (even the densest most gooey-centered cake practically jumps out of the pan after baking) . the actual shape of the pan is a bit clunky making it difficult to turn and extract the cake easily. It takes some practice as the handles and rim are wide and stick out further than other pans and the pan is heavy. You can't go too fast or too slow when turning the pan upside down to remove your cake or it will break due to how fast it slides out of the pan. While I'd prefer the design was a bit sleeker and easier to handle, I can't complain too much as the top, bottom and sides are nice and browned . and the middle stays spongy or gooey, depending on the recipe. The handles are easier to grip than a traditional pan but the price comes at how awkward it is to flip it onto a wire rack. This is one of the heaviest cake pans I've used . Ninja claims their Neverstick cookwate/bakeware is designed to mimic cast iron without the upkeep hassle. The only concern I have is that, while these are lead and Teflon free, they don't exactly list the proprietary technology or components of the non-stick agent . other than to brag about its complete safety. Is it really safe? Will it still be considered safe in a decade, the way Teflon coatings ONCE were but are no longer?Overall, this is the best performing non-stick cake pan I've used. It's so easy to clean because literally nothing sticks to it. I bake a lot of cakes and other baked goods on a regular basis and this absolutely takes the frustration out of the process. Even though its a bit awkward to handle and store due to its bulkiness, the performance outweighs that. For the price, it's expensive . but Ninja products are usually well worth the added costs. Compared to cheaper pans, the results are night and day.
