Review on ๐Ÿšด Enhance Performance with Sunlite Steel Quick Release Skewer for Rear Mounted Trainers by Jeremy Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Slightly longer skewer for attaching a new tag

It worked for me in the end even though it's not much longer than my standard skewer. I had to add a baby trailer mount to the back of my Trek hybrid bike, but it already had a skewer barely long enough for the frame and 8 gears. I bought it hoping it would be 10mm longer than the original but it was only about 5mm. For now it seems safe, so I think it will work. The approximate width I need is 155-160mm. The closed length, measured from the inside of the lever to the end of the thread, is 166mm. The captive lever mechanism itself feels solid. The only downside I've noticed so far, other than the lack of extra length that I was hoping for, is that the springs don't compress against the end pieces. You can move freely along the stem, which is not a problem once fitted, just a little less convenient to fit. However, this can allow him a few extra threads to secure him in place, which could be a positive thing.
