Review on Enhanced Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System with Subwoofer - Maximizing your Audio Experience by Kevin Hawkins

I just received these and like other people they appear to be the European version. I was concerned at first because although it came with a socket adapter, the adapter said it was 250v. A google search found this, [.] and a message from a Logitech rep saying to put the subwoofer next to it check the cable and it lists voltage. Mine said 110V 60Hz so I'm fine. Now onto the speakers themselves. I've only had them connected for a few hours but so far they sound good with the built in audio. I bought these to replace a Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 speaker set that was over 10 years old. They still work well but I wanted to upgrade to 5.1 and these Logitech speakers were great value. I also chose this model because the center speaker is designed to be placed above the LCD monitor. That's where I placed mine and it seems more than sturdy enough not to worry about it falling off or coming loose. I should also suggest buying RCA extension cords. I already had 2 rear speakers from my previous speakers so I was fine but the cable on the left front speaker wasn't long enough for me although I don't think the speaker is that far from the subwoofer. I was about 2 feet shorter. Luckily I found a cable and female adapter in one of my random cable boxes so I don't have to drive to the store tomorrow. I would definitely recommend them, just understand that you may need extension cords.
