Before the Nexus, there was a memo pad, and despite the fact that both share the same manufacturer, there are significant differences in the build quality, materials, and components of each. Memopad backlash, the speaker wheezed, there were periodic freezes. The Nexus does not have any of these issues, has excellent build quality, and produces strong sound. The device has met my expectations, thus I have no complaints about it. Got pros: Build quality, speed, screen, and ates from Google before they were available to anyone else Various disadvantages: using it for a period of six months did not reveal any, save that I wanted it to be simpler.
