The quality of this backpack is very good. The colors are vibrant and look exactly as pictured. The material reminds me of waxed canvas but is not quite that sturdy. The zippers are sewn well and are good quality. My daughter carries her books in it and has it packed full. The straps are padded and she says they are comfortable on her shoulders. The only thing she says is she would like it to have more pockets. The side pockets do not stretch to accommodate even a standard plastic water bottle.
