My son has a 2008 Infinity G37s that was having trouble starting. After checking the battery and alternator, we found that the starter motor was faulty. We replaced it in our driveway last weekend - had to remove the driver's side wheel to get to the main power wire. It's pretty tight, but once I figured out that the starter motor could come out from under the radiator from the front, it got a lot easier. I have compared the old Hitachi starter to this new one, as far as I can tell they are identical. I feel a lot better putting in a new starter than a rebuilt one as it's hard to tell how many repairs have actually been done.
