Review on πŸ“ Starrett 13C 6-Inch Double Square - Optimized with Hardened Blade by Young Toulson

Expensive and worth it

High quality. Expensive and worth it. It's a double square, meaning the blade can slide and secure as needed. Finding a good place is difficult. It's amazing how they can make a double square that stays square. Either way, this is what you pay for. I use this tool for my woodworking hobby. Because I can move my head quickly along the blade, I can commit to a specific measurement and easily take repeated measurements by holding the pieces of wood to the side of the head. This seemingly simple ability manifests itself in many areas. An example is using a planer to get a final measurement. All I have to do is set the final size of the double square first. After each pass through the planer, simply apply a double square to the workpiece and check that the blade is the right thickness for the wood. A touch check is performed immediately. Not yet? Send again. There? Stop and continue. So easy. The alternative is to tediously measure after each pass, straining your eyes and risking forgetting something or making a mistake. This quality tool is expensive. And it's worth it. This saves you time. That alone should convince you. It's also built to last. As? I'm not sure =)
