Installing the lock bracket to the bike frame was easy. The part that holds the actual lock unscrews from the part that goes around the bike frame to allow easier access to the two screw holes. The screws stick out a bit on the other side, but in my setup they're under the seat so they shouldn't scratch you anywhere. Another suggested placement for the lock holder was on the frame that connects the seat to the handlebars, but my frame isn't round at this point so that doesn't work. It fits perfectly into the frame under the seat. The lock seems to be held securely once fitted. I was surprised by the weight of this lock so I'm glad there is a holder for it so I don't have to carry it around in my backpack or something.
