Our dining chairs have small plastic legs at the end of each leg. I kept sticking sticky felt pads on these chairs and they inevitably fall off. I saw three floor protectors for sale and decided to try them. A family member used to give us knitted "chair socks" to achieve the same goal, but they were too loose and kept falling off if you even lifted the chair. These are much tighter. In fact I thought they would be too tight and rip when I put them on. On the contrary, they stretched and snuggled up tightly. I've been wearing them for a few days now and they seem to be working really well. Only time will tell if they stay together but my first impression is that they are doing a good job. They glide much smoother than the old felt pads I replaced.
