Review on MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 255/40 R18 105Y summer by Stanisaw Augustynowi ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

Removed eight Pilot Sport 4 tires measuring 235/40R18 in size Light rubber, no or practically no metal cord. The only manufacturer whose tire can be easily turned out by hand, even in larger sizes. On the inside, it resembles little more than a "kapron" cord of threads, which contributes to the item's less weight. The rubber composition has a rather soft texture, which contributes to its excellent grip and tenacity on the road. The majority of manufacturers start to use plastic when the temperature drops below +5 and +7 degrees, but on a bear you may ride safely down to 0 degrees if anyone requires it. If you have to drive on areas of the track that are full of potholes and pits, I strongly encourage you to look into other options. In general, tires designed for a decent summer track with good coverage will demonstrate that they are extremely worthy of their use. The sidewall is fragile, and although I didn't have a hernia, it's probably because there is no metal chord on the sidewall. Despite this, I did have a bulge in my side. When the tire is struck, the sidewall has a tendency to buckle, and if it collides with an object like the margins of a pit in the asphalt or a rail, the tire will break. Even if the tire bends to the disk upon impact, this does not constitute a hernia; however, it is almost certain that this will result in a breakdown. That is precisely what transpired in my own life as well. The tear in the sidewall occurred in the pit, and despite the fact that the entire family was traveling in the vehicle at night, it is fortunate that it did not skid. Who will argue the pressure was dropped is wrong? My SS, which is equipped with electronic direct-acting pressure sensors, monitors the pressure as it should be. I pump on a cool 2.6 bar exactly as instructed by the passport. One more of the drawbacks is an increase in the rate of abrasion. Prior to it, there were contisportcontact 3 tires in the same size; these tires had superior resistance to wear, and the sidewall was strong; but, they held the road a little less well. Regarding Mishka, the rest of the features are purely positives; customers who are willing to pay a little bit more money for strong running sports characteristics and for whom this is more essential than the aforementioned drawbacks will not be sorry they made the purchase. I, personally, will continue to ride the bear. Despite this, you should go ahead and place the order if it will save you money.

Pros
  • Light, flexible, and grippy with good road hold
Cons
  • A significant amount of wear. For 1 maximum 2 seasons. Weak side.
