Dell 3847 with 1060 3 gig

I bought for Dell 3847 with GTX 1060 3 gig. It works great and adds style to my motherboard. I'm interested in editing and gaming so I need more for my 3 year old Dell to keep up. I got it and it has pushed back the sands of time by at least another 3-5 years. Editing video was fine with the 3GB GTX 1060 card, but when I upgraded the RAM from the standard 8GB green sticks to these 16GB blue beauties, I was able to do 100% more at the same time make moving videos. What difference does it make that those 16GB sticks added an extra 8 gigs. When gaming, I was able to get the most out of Dead or Live 6 with no stuttering in sight. Dead or Alive 6 is currently the most graphically intensive fighting game, even more so than Mortal Combat 11. Please note that I'm also using a GTX 1060 Gigabit GPU. I disabled the 1060 and just used the stock sticks and it tripled the performance of my integrated Intel i 5 4460 APU (CPU combined with GPU). So if you're looking to improve your stock system, this is a good place to start. Dead or Alive 6 with integrated graphics and the usual 8GB green sticks produced 8 to 12 frames per second (fps). Added these blue beauties dead or alive 6 got 18 to 25 frames per second. Also, I had to reset Dead or Alive 6 to the minimum without 1060. This is just a note for players who are trying to stay in the game with what they have, but the money isn't theirs. Okay, you know, when I first popped in these 16GB flash drives, the startup was slow, taking about 3 minutes. I tried Google and Bing started slowly. I watched a YouTube video and it was good but poignant. I restarted my computer and it was twice as fast as regular sticks. I opened some tabs and watched some YouTube videos, played some video games and opened my editing software, worked on some projects and productivity increased. So when you put in those 16 gigabytes, let the system fully boot up, then let it run for five to ten minutes, then reboot the system and everything is fine. Last note: Make sure your computer is PC3 12800. I bought the wrong type first. I recommend these 16GB DDR3 sticks to anyone who wants to push back the sands of time on their DDR3 machines.
