I love these floor mats, although I wish a manufacturer had extended the backing over the lip under the front of the 3rd generation Tacoma seats then they would be perfect. I think Husky makes plastic mats too, like the WeatherTech insoles I had before, and I prefer rubber to plastic; However, the plastic Weathertechs offered a bit more protection as they stretched higher. I'm not familiar with the plastic husky types as I haven't tried them. My truck gets dirty all the time so I hose and clean them almost once a week and they still look brand new even though I've only had them 10 months. They let some water through, probably at shutoff points when I got in and out of the truck in still water during a hurricane, but they still did a good job of keeping the mess from soaking my entire truck. It held a few inches of water, which was hardly normal for a floor mat.
