I bought this inverter for my son to run his PlayStation (higher power consumption of PS4 Pro but still less than his PS5). We tested the front and rear accessory sockets (aka "cigarette lighter sockets") on a Dodge Grand Caravan. The monitor turned on but the PS4 would not turn on. [By the way the tiny low power monitor was also bought through Revain: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F8V3BH2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1] >>> I tested that before . The van's additional sockets are each fused with 20 amps. So if the battery is 12 volts, 12 volts x 20 amps = 240 watts should be enough to power the PS4 with this inverter. >>> We tried the setup with my sons 2005 Toyota Camry. engine turned on. Everything went perfectly. Turned the ignition off but left the car's ignition key in the "ACC" (meaning accessory) position. In this case, the car radio and additional sockets must be switched on, BUT ONLY FROM THE CAR BATTERY. Everything went well. >>> So back to my van. Van started and everything connected. Turn the ignition key to ACC (engine off but electrical outlets on). The monitor turned on, but when the PS4 didn't turn on, the inverter started beeping. WHAT I LEARNED: MY BATTERY ON ITS OWN WILL NOT PROVIDE enough power (voltage or current or both) for the inverter to power both the monitor and the PS4. The beep, which is a great feature, probably indicates that the voltage coming from the car battery is too low. WANG'S ENGINE STARTED. NOW there was enough voltage (and power) from the extra outlets. HONEST OPINION: Running a high power device (inverter or not) with the VEHICLE ENGINE OFF is probably never a good idea. How long does it take before the battery is discharged to the point that the car can no longer be started? Yes, some things, like some 12 volt drink coolers, are supposed to turn off if the voltage in the car gets too low, but I would never take that risk. We bought an inverter (and monitor) for a 1355 mile cruise and I won't risk it. If anything isn't perfect with this hardware, I'll make another post (when we come back). Otherwise, the inverter and monitor (and PS4) have worked together extremely well so far. >>> LAST IMPORTANT NOTE: I personally would prefer NOT to use an inverter with a digitally synthesized AC sine wave. There are too many risks, so I chose this "Pure Sine Wave Power Converter". (Google "sine wave vs. simulated sine wave" to find the differences.)
