Beast mode is good for kitchen and dining room

This thing is a monster. It easily slices through anything we throw at it. We bought it primarily for cheese and beef jerky. We partially frozen the beef before slicing, and the slices can be made as thin as you'd like. The depth of the blade (thickness of cut) is adjustable, so you can fine tune it as much as you like. My first attempts made the beef slices so thin that they were completely translucent. Since getting this, we've also bought a large Costco turkey breast and sliced our own deli meat. Day and night, how different the taste is from what we are used to from the usual meat delicacy. We then simply popped a few slices into vacuum bags and froze them for later use. A great way to not eat everything at once and save money by buying in bulk. Cleaning wasn't too difficult, but you do need to use the included Allen key to remove the blade. It wasn't difficult, and we certainly made sure to remove the blade as well, so we made sure to wear cut-resistant gloves for this step. This is our first slicer, but it's a solid machine and doesn't make any noise at all. It seems easy and the engine doesn't seem to be stressed in any of the circumstances we will be using it for.

Pros
  • No need to sharpen blade often
Cons
  • embarrassing
