I had a standard cooler that started making an unbearable noise so I bought it as a replacement. I have used Rosewill products in the past so I was expecting a decent product. Installation is a pain if you have heatsinks on your MB. Even my RAM got in the way. You need a large area around your processor to power this pup. But once I finally put it on, I feel like the pace has stayed within reasonable bounds. The reason for the bad rating is the noise that is driving me insane now. After less than a month of use, this fan makes a constant noise under load. I determined that the problem is with the fan by turning it off during part of the gaming session. Bad stock maybe? Constant knocking that gets worse under load. Seconds 5-7 have the best problem sound.
