Review on 💧 Enhance Water Purity with PUR MAXION Replacement Pitcher Filter - 4 PACK by Mayra Castillo

I have just opened my new pack of 4 replacement PUR Maxion Jug Filters and had a very unpleasant surprise. I opened 2 out of 4 filters and both were the same as before. I had the same problem that another poster mentioned with random bits of charcoal coming out of the filters. I have never experienced that when using PUR products. The final nail in the coffin was opening the SEALED package and the filter was WET inside. It is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Unless PUR dispenses wet products in sealed packages, which is 1) unsanitary due to the possibility of mold/mildew (due to moisture in an airless environment) and 2) someone has likely already USED that filter, which is gross (because a used filter does not purify water nor would I want anyone touching my water filter) and unethical, I can't think of any good reason why this SEALED product should be WET when opened. Not happy with it at all - especially since I paid $65 to get it. I have no problem paying for what people ask for, but if I don't get what I pay for, we have a problem. ESPECIALLY when it comes to products I use for everyday needs (like pure water). When reference is made to "Refurbished” filters, this must be CLEARLY marked on the product. If I had any evidence that this product was ever used or otherwise tampered with before it reached my consumer, I would never have purchased these filters. I'm open to explaining this and will update this post/review if there are any changes. At the moment I do not recommend this product.
