The filter itself fits perfectly, nothing dangling, doesn't turn, doesn't press. It fits well and even seals with soft (silicone?) borders around the filter parameter. Why 1 star now? Pre-filters are a joke! I mean rebellion. I knew from the packaging that they were too small. You will need all 6 of these to make a "patchwork" carbon sheet cover to replace your old pre-filter. As for the performance, I let my smelly husband come into the bedroom with a cigar (usually not allowed. Living room, kitchen and bathroom are fine), take a few big drags in the room and then leave. After running the air purifier at high power for a few minutes, the smell disappeared. I gave these filters 4 stars for performance because I don't know how long they will last. If they still work (as they SHOULD do in my house) compared to the branded model I will increase this rating.
