I wanted something more compact than the suction cup stand I've used in rental cars when traveling. So far, it's easily held our phones in multiple cars while navigating all sorts of back roads and pothole-filled city streets. This bracket meets all requirements very well. Unlike other vent mounts that just press against the vents (I just checked), this mount has a strong spring clip that stays in place no matter how thick or thin the vents are (as I've had issues). The anti-fall stand is a nice touch. It has click stops so it stays where you set it, allowing the blinds to stay open :) and still hold my phone at the angle I set. I've been through a lot of different phone mounts and this is by far the best combination of compactness and versatility. I also use my Vena iPhone case. It has a built-in metal flap that works great with this (or any other) magnetic mount.
