Basically, this is my bad experience. I connected this setup to a pair of Midland LXT-276 radios (I think). These are cheap radios and they don't have a volume control (that I can find). One of the headset speakers I received is intermittent (works less than 50% of the time). With no volume control and only one speaker running less than 50% of the time, it was almost impossible to hear anything at high speeds. Anyone who has considered this setup: 1) Use at least one radio with enough volume and volume control that you can cancel helmet noise even with both speakers on. 2) For serious highway driving, try this setup out before taking it on a long trip to see if it meets the requirements. I didn't and was very disappointed at some critical points of my trip. This is an inexpensive setup. It's a plus, but not a plus enough to do it again. Thing is, I bought some radios from a truck stop to replace one of the LXT-276s that got wet. The replacement radios were so much better than the LXT-276 that after one trip I bought a more expensive Helm rig to use the new radios and completely obsolete the Midland rig. Next time I hope not to be in that position.
