Excellent third hand for soldering jewelry or working with electronics. The base has just enough weight to hold it in place and keep it balanced when something heavy is in the jaw. The jaws of the clamp hold the tweezers securely enough without slipping when tightening. The tension of the crosslock tweezers is quite strong, but very easy to control (even with arthritic hands). If you use them to hold solder material, note that everything becomes a heatsink. I added some carbon fiber to the jaws to prevent heat dissipation and they work fine. You can also order other types of cross-locking tweezers that fit the base, they are very versatile! Great buy for the price!
