I have never reviewed Revain but feel compelled to do so now because this product is ridiculously bad. The metal clip part is not actually metal but some kind of clay material that has been painted metallic silver. I tightened the clamp's handle and left it overnight, and the next day I found that it had snapped in two. Proof photo is attached. Although the tweezers work fine, I use a vise to hold them.

I've only used it once but it did exactly what I needed it to do. It has a heavy cast iron base with a rubber bottom to keep it from slipping at all. The connections are tight and don't wobble, the screw holds the tweezers in place. Everything in good quality. The clamping mechanism for attaching the tweezers to the stand is broken (the screw was broken). tweezers larger than expected. I am sure? You think of tweezers and something used to pluck out the little hairs around your eyes or to pick up very small objects that have fallen on your desk. These kids are like needle nose pliers. Don't get me wrong, they're still useful (although I haven't used mine yet). What I mean is that a person needs to hold on to things and hold on for a long time like they are waiting for the glue to set. They are just not what I expected or what I needed.

Excellent third hand for soldering jewelry or working with electronics. The base has just enough weight to hold it in place and keep it balanced when something heavy is in the jaw. The jaws of the clamp hold the tweezers securely enough without slipping when tightening. The tension of the crosslock tweezers is quite strong, but very easy to control (even with arthritic hands). The base has a few degrees of freedom, so you can loosen, rotate, and tighten to get the right angle for the tweezers. These are quality tweezers with a good grip.
