Review on Enhance Your TV Viewing with RCA's ANT3038XR Outdoor Digital TV Antenna with 150-inch Boom by Sri Mims

I would look for another alternative. Reception isn't the best and assembly/mounting is difficult.

A bit bulky as it cannot be assembled. The assembly requires an extension of the elements before final assembly. This pretty much means that you have to do the assembly on the roof. The tolerances are to be made a little tight on the roof. This antenna can be assembled and mounted, but it's MUCH more difficult than the Archer Radio Shack series, like the VU-210. In addition, this antenna does not have as good a reception as the Archer counterpart. I would also add that this antenna is poorly balanced. After mounting on a mast, the "back side" of the antenna (the end with the largest features) tends to sag significantly. So a proper roof mount would require one more mast section to prevent elements from sagging below the roof line. up to about a dozen. It works and gets most of the local channels, but I'm still missing the channels I used with my old array. But for the price it works well. In view of the significantly higher assembly and installation effort, however, I would advise against this antenna. Sorry to say that, RCA.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
