    Finally found a working antenna!

I was very satisfied with the number of channels and the clarity of the picture. IT WORKS OUT! Have recommended it to friends and family.

12 feet 6 inches long when assembled.

There are no spare parts. There is only what you need. More than two people build, but if you're stubborn like me, one person can do it alone. Supplied in a 6ft box.

It's made for RCA, which has proven itself well in products.

I rode harder with some help from my wife. Easy instructions and appears to be well built. Got much better reception and a few extra channels compared to the other antenna. Yes, we are cable cutters. We ended up paying about $1500 a year and 70% of the channels we're not interested in.

Needs an amp but otherwise works great.

What can we say about the traditional antenna. This one works, although I had to install an amplifier to get channels that were "out there" about 70 miles away. Assembly was easy. It took me about half an hour to complete. Climbing the ladder and attaching it to the mast was a bit unreliable, but not difficult either. Hooking up this antenna to the Channel Master Mini amp did the trick.

I get great reception. But it's very big

I was very doubtful that this would work. I've tried many different things in the past but with this antenna paired with an RCA preamp I've gone from 5 channels to around 25. I can cancel a meal and save a lot of money. I live about 17 miles from one tower and about 60 miles from the next, with heavy trees in my back yard and mountains between me and the towers. I get great reception. Although it's very big.

    Pros
    • Regular price
    Cons
    • Some problems

I live in Mexico about 70 miles from the best stations in San Diego. Of course there are a lot of mountains between my location and the signal source, but the antenna is not much better than the smaller one that the wind makes us forget. I will test the possibility of connecting two identical antenna wires in parallel to see if I can double the incoming signal strength. I imagine that with no rock faults this should be a good unit.

    • About

Living 100 miles from the nearest town with TV stations I was very hesitant to switch to the antenna and wasn't sure if it would work or not. But I was fed up with paying so much to a record company every month, and mostly through local channels. I bought this antenna and the RCA amplifier. It was easy to install and I was able to use the existing cable I had from the dish to distribute the signal to different TVs around my house. To make a long story short, with a little antenna and height…

    Pros
    • All positive
    Cons
    • Poorly thought out

A bit clumsy because not assembled. The assembly requires an extension of the elements before final assembly. This pretty much means that you have to do the assembly on the roof. The tolerances are to be made a little tight on the roof. This antenna can be assembled and mounted, but it's MUCH more difficult than the Archer Radio Shack series, like the VU-210. In addition, this antenna does not have as good a reception as the Archer counterpart. I would also add that this antenna is poorly…

Great antenna, maybe the best $150 I've ever spent.

We switched from DirecTV to Dish over 10 years and then decided to end the cycle entirely. I used a Revain brand amplified indoor antenna and my TV signal was adequate. After about 6 months I decided to make things "permanent" and started researching outdoor units. I ended up buying this unit along with a TVPRAMP1R RCA power preamp and outdoor antenna extension (used with ANT3038XR and ANT3036XR), black and couldn't be happier. I am receiving stations over 75 miles away and my local stations…
