Review on Enjoy Your Espresso In Style With CNGLASS Double Wall Glass Cups - Set Of 2 by Paul Koehler

Revainrating 2 out of 5

QC issue but the cups, though quite thin and fragile feeling, are nice for coffee.

These cups are nice for coffee drinkers who prefer or have interest in a "hot free" cup without handles. I liked the idea of being able to "grab" my coffee like a beer (so to speak) without hunting down a handle. This fits that bill and though the cup still gets hot, it does not get too hot to hold. As it turns out, it is actually a real nice handwarmer if that is of interest to you. Regarding the QC issue: There is a chip out of one cup at the bottom. It does not look like a chip from "bumping" the cup because the chip is actually sort of "glazed" over. I guess it is more of a "pit" in the glass that occurred during manufacturing but it is enough to be quite visible even from the top (it's about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch diameter). Looks like a QC issue in that it should have been easy to spot upon inspection prior to placing item in packaging. The packaging, incidentally, seemed adequate and was not damaged, just the one cup inside. I will update this review based on manufacturer response because we are all human and errors happen and this just is barely enough of a deal for me to write this.

Pros
  • These are nice little glasses. I mainly use them for aeropress lattes.
Cons
  • The cups are not suitable for use with hot liquids other than espresso
