I was hoping this would be a good alternative to other companies' $100 version, but it isn't. I will still buy an alternative but that will take me another week. Here are some highlights: Good: - Tow hook securely attached - Lots of mounting holes for different positions - Plate fits the license plate well Cons: - Huge clearance! Like an inch when set vertically. The manual says it's normal, but in my condition it's considered a violation as someone could get hurt through their own stupidity. - The plate to the hook adapter is not as secure as the hook for an auto part. a little more difficult to install than other mounts. I like the fact that it will be difficult for someone to steal, but at the same time I think it points to an area of disadvantage with a gap. Overall this is a good product, just the photo doesn't quite show how smooth it is. .
