Ideal for MK5 Jetta, GTI, GLI, Golf, Passat etc. Very high quality metal, suitable for traditional number plates. There are nine different places where a license plate can be placed. Very good product.

Not suitable for my MK5 Rabbit. The bar that fits into the tow hook slot was not long enough to reach the bumper. I would go back but opted for a mounting plate to mount the front number plate. Do not buy for MK5 Rabbit/Golf.

Fits 2018 Tiguan. It's not as close to the bumper as I'd like, but for $24 it's fine with me. I had to add a 1/4" flat washer and lock washer behind the screw that attaches the plate. I also lubricated the threads with Loctite to keep them from twisting. Haven't moved yet. I like the way it is it looks and I didn't have to drill the front bumper.

I haven't found any yet that haven't shifted and had to be fixed periodically. This one is no exception. I love that I don't have to drill holes in the bumper to fit the license plate, but that's a problem. No matter how you put it on, the plate always moves. Don't even think about driving this car through an automatic car wash. This particular model sticks out quite a bit from the bumper and looks a bit odd when everything is centered. If you stagger it, it will curl up a little more.

Received this today and was happy to install it on my 2017 Volkswagen GLI and it came with no instructions. It wasn't hard to figure out, but it would help. It claims it doesn't interfere with the front parking sensors, but they just go nuts over this thing. It works but is very weak and even with the shims on the plate still moves a little. There is a QR code that takes you to the JDM website, but there are no installation instructions for my particular machine. No matter how hard I try, I can't close it all the way. It was packaged poorly and the bracket was simply taped to the hardware pouch. Like they just found it. The mounting post was not powder coated and protruded too far forward. I measured 1.25 inches from the front of my bumper. I don't think it was made for my GTI mk7 as advertised. The photos in the description show that the plate is much closer to the bumper.
