Easy way to transform boots and other leather

I purchased Angelus Fire Red Acrylic Leather Dye to change the color of burgundy boots to red for the Wonder Woman costume. It took a lot more layers than I expected but the results were very good. Be sure to apply thin coats and allow to dry between uses. I bought a small 1 ounce bottle and could have gotten away with that amount for my boots, but for a professional look I ordered a second bottle to give my boots another coat. I'm very happy with the results and doubt anyone can tell that fire red isn't the original color of the boots.

Applying 3 thin coats is optimal. Use a soft brush not a bristle brush for larger areas.
