Review on Schwarzkopf Professional Blond Blonde Toning by Dionne Reyes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great smell, Perlton, Wella T18 competitor! It's 4.5 stars!

Just to be clear this is a 4.5 star rating not just a 4 star rating. I really liked this toner. I used it with the *amazing* Schwarzkopf 9 Level Lift "Blondme" bleach to do my *very dark brown* roots and also to lift the rest of my hair. Normally I ONLY use Wella products but I have to say this toner comes second in the battle for 1st place with Wella T18 (White Lady) that everyone knows and loves. Each of them has different things to love, so it's a tough decision. First let me be clear that the photos I am attaching show my hair IMMEDIATELY after bleaching and applying this toner. However, I accidentally only bought 1 toner when I actually need 2 now that my hair is longer and I didn't realize it. So my application wasn't fully saturated yet and I still got really great results. Near ash-fine platinum, it will eventually settle down after a week or so. The photos also show "dark spots" from my camera flash rather than actual dark spots. White areas are solid color. It is very difficult to blend roots into previously bleached and toned platinum blondes as bleaching makes your hair 'pale yellow' again and difficult to truly 'uniform' roots and previously bleached hair. every time. I had never tried this tonic before and thought it might be worth trying. It's creamy and smells WAY better than most. It's also a simple 1:1 ratio that's easy to mix and remember. When applied, it wasn't as "purple" as Wella T18. However, it seemed to show off the bright yellow just as well. I like Wella's particular "purple" color a little more. This didn't leave any grayish spots that I have to "disappear" with a clarifying shampoo like I often do with Wella. It seemed to cover very evenly and gave my tips the same color as my roots without the usual "ash tips" or "purple tint" that washed out after a few days. So actually it was very nice. However, I feel like I *generally* need more of this toner to fully cover my hair. I haven't really decided what I prefer yet. It was really smooth and smelled great. No drops. Fast color toning and no gray hair. But Wella T18 has the added ability to lift even the yellowest hair. i am split But if you love Wella T18 (White Lady) or even her T14 (Pale Ash Blonde), you'll love the Schwarzkopf in Ice. It's definitely in my top 2 now. Excellent merchandise!
