I installed this this morning to test and roast pork and make mushroom omelettes. My porch is covered and large. I have an industrial exhaust fan that I installed years ago when I was contemplating a hot tub but never got hold of it. There is a ceiling fan in the center of the porch with a 10 foot ceiling. There is practically no sound insulation, it is glazed on both sides. I placed it in the middle of the room between two 5ft long tables. I turned it on and it started smoking. I cleaned it according to the instructions but it was smoking and the contact surfaces may have been burned. Even from about 3 feet away, I could feel the intense heat coming from the grill. After about 10 minutes the smoke cleared and it was just a hot grill. I put some marinated pork on the grill and baste it with peanut butter first. While it was cooking I took one of the mini brews off the rack and rubbed the inside with peanut butter, then I cracked an egg, some chopped mushrooms and some parsley. I flipped the meat, it was browned on the sides, the omelet was ready in about 3-4 minutes and I used a spatula to scoop it out onto a plate. I sprinkled it with fried meat and ate it. It cooks well quickly and everyone can make their own side dish. I just hope it doesn't get too hot or I have to open the door inwards and blow the air conditioner out onto the porch. Good BBQ. Recommended for family gatherings without an expensive gas grill.
