Bad Elf is a great, durable GPS navigator with a long battery life. I am very happy with the classic LCD display which is functional and saves battery life. I can only think of three cons, two of which are minor annoyances and shouldn't be a big problem for anyone. No GLONASS: This is one of the few modern GPS devices on the market that only uses GPS and not a combination of GPS and GLONASS. This means that the acquisition and tracking times, while good, are not as good as they could be. Bad Elf releases another GLONASS box, but it's not available and costs about 50% more, which is way overpriced for such a common feature.2. Scratch-sensitive screen: The transparent plastic display is in no way scratch-resistant. It would be better if the protective sticker that comes with the kit was completely transparent with no writing so that users can leave it intact to protect the display. Or even better, put on a screen protector or make the screen more scratch-resistant.3. Mini-USB instead of micro-USB: The device still uses the outdated mini-USB adapter, which is now hardly used anymore. This means that on long journeys, users should always look out for the extra mini-USB cable, just for GPS, rather than sharing the micro-USB cable we typically carry with all our other devices.
