Only connect up to 2 iOS 10.x devices

The description says that in many places up to 5 devices can be connected. But these are only a maximum of 3 connections. The fourth is not connected. See attached photo. If, like me, the number of connected devices is important to you, this is a falsely advertised product. The GPS connection works fine as expected, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't connect. Update: Only connects up to 2 iOS 10.x devices. Then it shows <MAX>. If another device such as For example, if an iOS 9 device was

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Minor issues

Bad Elf is a great, durable GPS navigator with a long battery life. I am very happy with the classic LCD display which is functional and saves battery life. I can only think of three cons, two of which are minor annoyances and shouldn't be a big problem for anyone. No GLONASS: This is one of the few modern GPS devices on the market that only uses GPS and not a combination of GPS and GLONASS. This means that the acquisition and tracking times, while good, are not as good as they could be. Bad…

All in all a fun gadget to record your travels!

Cool product! We hung it on the rearview mirror of our car and used it to track our journey to and from Alaska. We installed the software on our iPads to store and view all of our daily travel cards. Your route appears as a red and purple line on the background map, but you can choose a street map background, a satellite view of the area, or a combination of both, which I particularly like. Haven't used it on the plane yet. The only time it did NOT record was when I put it in "Auto" mode but…

Great GPS data logger for foggy world and/or clear world!

LOVE IT! I like using apps like Fog of World and World Uncovered. When you use apps, they "draw" trails of the places you've been so you can look back and see where you've traveled. The problem is that it drains your phone's battery pretty badly, which is why I wanted to use an external GPS data logger. I did a lot of research to find the best. The Bad Elf was a little more expensive than all the others, but it was worth it knowing it was a quality product that works. Pros: LCD screen! Maybe…

Module defective Radio silence from Tech Support

Update 07/21/2020: I just need a GPS with submeter accuracy and have done a lot of research. If I hadn't had such a terrible experience with their cheapest device, I would consider buying their $600 survey model because it has enough accuracy for my needs. But instead I will pay hundreds of dollars to rent a real GNSS device because there is no way I will risk buying another Bad Elf product. I know they didn't care about my experience because I was just a schmo who bought their loss leader…

  • One year trial version

The best customer service team I have ever dealt with!

Since I've had the Bad Elf GPS Pro 2200 I've been using it everywhere I go and have intentionally taken it offline in areas we don't normally venture or get lost in the process search. Once I got the GPS, it locked onto the satellites in seconds, I've fiddled with a few settings on my Wi-Fi-only iPad Air 2, and I've been using Google Maps for offline navigation and the Bad Elf app download on the go. my magazines. Very easy to use and each setting switch is very clear. In the box you will find…
