Review on πŸ”Œ QPAU Electric Air Pump: Rechargeable Portable Inflator Deflator for Camping, Air Mattress, Sofa Bed, Pool Inflatables - Quick-Fill with 5 Nozzles by Nicole Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small and light, but don't underestimate it.

Small and light, but don't underestimate it. Expectations not only met, but exceeded. 1/5 weight, 1/3 size, 1/2 price and even more time between charges. Okay, I'll admit the only reason I ordered and tried these pumps was because I read a review from someone who also had a Coleman Quick Pump. I ordered two because I wasn't sure if one would do the job of a fast pump. As soon as they arrived I thought I would be even more insecure because they were so small and light, but damn I was wrong! Don't let the size or weight fool you. I ran a test with just one of the two pumps to compare to my old Coleman speed pump. Of course, it's a bit slower than a fast pump, but not by much. As a test I inflated an adult/full size SUP. A fast Coleman pump pumped it up in about 1 minute 45 seconds, this pump was slightly slower but still did the same thing in about 2 minutes 10 seconds. No big difference. Now I let it sit for about 5-10 minutes after each inflation/deflation of the SUP. I don't have to burn my pump just to write a review. This little guy inflated and deflated the SUP more than 9 times in total. (Of course it was/seemed a bit slower after about the 6th or 7th inflation/deflation). But even when new, the fast pump would probably only inflate/deflate the SUP about 3-4 times per charge. So not only did this thing keep up with the fast pump, it passed it! I stopped after inflating and deflating the SUP 9 times. Not that it didn't work because it worked, just because I would have continued to wear out my own pump when it was already beating everything I could think of. After 9 times it still had 1 out of 4 power lights. I can't comment on the durability of the product as I only received it recently and only tested it, so if it didn't work I could always return it in time. But I will keep it! Disclaimer: This will NOT fill the SUP to a ready to use level. But on the other hand, there will be no fast pump either. You will still end up having to inflate the SUP with an electric or manual SUP pump to actually get it up to working pressure as this will likely only result in a maximum pressure of a few pounds. But anyone who has owned a SUP and has attempted to fully inflate it with a hand pump knows how much time can be saved by doing most of the pumping first with such a pump, and then only pumping it up to 18psi with a real SUP Pump. But if you like me, use one to save time on initial inflation/deflation and complete it with the included SUP hand pump.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was
