I had been using a kitten collar on my Maltipoo puppy but it was a break-away collar b/c it was meant for a cat. I didn't feel that the puppy was real secure with it on should she pull hard enough. This collar was a great find with the 6-7" size. Small enough that it fits her well and seems to be very comfortable on her. And I love the fact that it buckles so I feel it's much safer. I highly recommend if you're looking for a very small size.
