Review on Transit H-Bar Carrier for Kryptonite by Jim Bethea

I installed a kryptonite handlebar lock holder on the entire "park" of bicycles, five holders so far. I've only had one that came loose and was easy enough to fix. I think the best aspect of the Transit H-Bar is the visibility and accessibility of your lock. No more random bike rides without a lock. I'm holding back one star because I had to purchase these lock holders to replace the extremely weak bracket holder that comes with the Kryptolock combination padlock. It doesn't seem entirely fair that you would pay extra for a Kryptonite U-lock just to get a shackle that will ensure it falls on the road, at best delaying your trip and at worst losing it completely forever, so stock up separate premium for a holder that really works. I've noticed that other members of the Kryptonite U-Lock family come with significantly better mounts, which doesn't mean they couldn't design one for this combination. I wouldn't put any stars anyway as the instructions are a bit blunt and written in very small letters. I also noticed that every factory in China uses a very cheap easy to remove hex nut and hex wrench. Also, they constantly put the hex nut in the package wrong. It is obvious that the screw has to fit in the hex recess, but 5 times the packaging is mounted backwards, which can lead to the end user repeating this mistake.
