The basket was nicely gift wrapped and nicely packaged in a drawstring bag. The basket needed a little help getting it out of the box with a clothes steamer. After that, the shape is well preserved. The handles and sides of the cotton rope basket are surprisingly strong. The included waterproof soft material is soft to the touch and big enough to cover my baby's bottom while changing. The mattress cover is soft, easy to wash and does not shrink when washed.
