The basket was nicely gift wrapped and nicely packaged in a drawstring bag. The basket needed a little help getting it out of the box with a clothes steamer. After that, the shape is well preserved. The handles and sides of the cotton rope basket are surprisingly strong. The included waterproof soft material is soft to the touch and big enough to cover my baby's bottom while changing. The mattress cover is soft, easy to wash and does not shrink when washed.

This is a very cute changing basket - it fits into my decor while remaining functional. I often change my baby on the floor so this is perfect for me. I can move from room to room as needed. I love that it also has a canvas holdall - I can take it on weekend trips to visit my child's grandparents. When my child grows up it will make a great pet bed. I had to smooth out some creases in the packaging to give the basket a better shape. In general I like it very much!

To be honest I got this as a waterproof pet bed, not a changing pad. My girl Fiona loves to lie in bed but she sneezes and snores on everything so something easy to clean was just up her alley. Try to keep the child in place. However, if they were really curvaceous, it wouldn't hold them back. This is an attractive large basket with a nicely lined base. The basket is a little flexible but can be steamed or shaped with blankets and towels to smooth out wrinkles and creases. This is an attractive basket and can certainly be used as a changing station thanks to the tiny waterproof insert. The liner is so small I wish it was a little bigger.
