I recommend getting some books or something similar to set up your monitor to check your height preferences before buying one. Assembling was easy, the only thing I really didn't like was that the rubber leg stick isn't reliable at all. When I originally installed it it was too close so I moved it back an inch, the rubber feet came off immediately and I had to lift and re-glue/align it. After getting it where I wanted it was great. I store some controllers, keep some stickers handy, and even have a place to prop my phone up if needed. Rubber feet suck, but that's no reason not to. I almost forgot: when you first open it, it smells strong. I think it's due to the way the wood is treated, but just air it out and the smell will go away after a few days.
