I was looking at the reviews and saw in one of the pictures shown how the wood can crack. So I took a chance and bought it anyway. Using a Philips screwdriver, I encountered the same problem. The wood split with just one screw. The rest worked fine. Nice to know what it is. But be careful, it can happen to you. Do not use power tools. I just used a Philips screwdriver and it cracked by hand.

Really good product for the price! Very well made and easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. My only issue with the product is that I tried using an under stand shelf for my Xbox, it fits perfectly and fits snugly. But what I didn't consider is the ventilation. My Xbox was constantly overheating. Still, I think it's a good product. But be careful, the photo of the PS4 on the same shelf is a blunder.
