I love the decor system! We used it for our baby's cloth diaper (he doesn't miss a smell and I have a very strong sense of smell!) After our baby was potty trained we removed the hatch hole and continued to use it for the trash. We now use it as cat litter after cleaning the litter box in the 3rd floor apartment. As long as the litter box itself is clean, there is no odor from the facility and we don't have to throw it in the trash every day. !I like that instead of separate pouches it has a roll that ties at the bottom, they are stronger than they look and feel. After 10 years the bags have never broken and you don't waste a lot of plastic if you want to remove something gross before the bag is full. There is a special safety knife (something like a letter opener) in the door and you simply cut the desired length of the package and lace it up. It's never too short or too long. Plus the refills per month were cheaper than the diaper genius we originally got, less plastic and MUCH BETTER odor control. Also, a diaper genie wouldn't make a handy trash can and wouldn't work for picking up clumps of cat litter because of the small, round hole.
