I've been working with counters for over 40 years and I'm very skeptical about cheap "counterfeits". I've seen tons of them come and go. However, Etekcity has done a good job here. While I don't expect it to last as long as my Fluke 87 or 77, I've been using it for a few months now and this gauge lives on my workbench. I didn't expect this to happen. I just wanted to take it to the 'rental desk' if someone needed to borrow it, or take it with me where there was a higher risk of it being 'abandoned'. I tested it against NIST traceable standards and it met the advertised accuracy for all functions right out of the box. A bit bulky but a good bench meter with the right features and ranges. The continuity tone isn't as lightning fast as the Fluke 87, but is fast enough that you can scan the connector very quickly. All in all much better than I expected and a big step up from most cheap gauges. Mostly fast and stable readings. I would recommend it to a friend without reservation. There's a lot of money here. So far my experience with Etekcity electronics has been positive.
